Zion

April 2, 2010

We hiked and camped out for a couple of nights at Zion National Park, in southern Utah.  As part of the Colorado Plateau that includes Bryce Canyon and the Grand Canyon, it is like visiting a time machine – so many layers of geological history lay exposed.  It’s also like visiting another planet.  Where else can you see a landscape of pink, striated rock?
